The Little Black Dress on-line boutique was born from an idea about creating The Perfect LBD  ~ for every body shape, any age & every occasion. Because not one shape fits or flatters everyone. We want to inspire you to enhance & embrace what you have & who you are.

We have been in total love with a good LBD for many years. It is a quintessential wardrobe staple for every woman & is incredibly versatile ~ it can be dressed up or down, from casual to formal & can take you throughout your day with just a quick change of accessories. Just one dress has been worn on the school run with comfortable ballet flats, then morphed in to the corporate world before being glammed up with a bit of bling & not so sensible heels after hours.

The seed for creating The Perfect LBD was to design a core range based around dress shapes & details, creating options to enhance a variety of figure types. We started our collection with classic, timeless silhouettes & have adapted necklines, sleeve lengths, skirt options & hemlines to create choices to suit a wide variety of body shapes ~ all designed to enhance or minimize each customer’s assets.

Almost a bespoke option without the bespoke price tag.

Our Dress My Shape guide helps our customers select the most complementary styles for them. But most importantly, we have ensured consistency in sizing so that when you fall in love with your first LBD you can confidently buy another from our range to suit your body shape & know it will fit the same way.

We have travelled the world to source a premium quality, silky soft jersey that is light enough to travel but just heavy enough to drape beautifully & opaque so you won’t require a slip underneath. The construction is all about the detail. Minimal seam lines, blind hems, sturdy bindings & bra strap keepers (for select styles) to keep everything intact, smooth & in place.

Quite intentionally our range is not seasonally based like a lot of design houses. With our core collection, customers can shop year round & return to purchase another piece to complement their Perfect LBD collection. There is nothing more frustrating that finding the ‘perfect’ anything & not being able to buy it or a similar style again. Women can be delightful creatures of habit.

But to keep things fresh we will be continually expanding the range & introducing limited edition runs from time to time & feature guest designers to offer their creative input in to creating The Perfect LBD.
